Strong emphasis on organic [40-60%] and locally produced ingredients
In a peaceful setting on the River Teme, this traditional coaching inn has been welcoming enthusiasts of good food since the late 14th century. There is a strong emphasis on organic and locally produced ingredients [with the exception of fish delivered from Cornwall and Wales], and traditional, seasonal and sometimes ancient recipes, all reworked with an imaginative flair and real emphasis on wholesome flavour. Homemade preserves, breads, black pudding and raised pies. Many of the vegetables, salads and herbs come from our own organic kitchen garden, and wild food is gathered from the fields and hedgerows. Home brewed ales are produced in our own brewery behind the inn.
