The house is secluded, quiet, comfortable, and elegantly furnished. It is surrounded by a sheltered half acre garden, which is a sanctuary for birds, and includes an organic fruit and vegetable garden, hens providing free range eggs, decorative fantail pigeons and a wildlife pond. Greenacres is a plant collector's paradise. It has held the Gold Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme for excellence in environmental practice for the past three years, and was also runner up in the Big Tree Country Awards 2007 for business development.
