Beautiful Georgian mansion [4 rosettes, 3 red stars] set in 20 acres of lawns, woodland and streams. Eight rooms individually decorated to a very high standard. The grounds were set out around 1730, prior to the building of the present house. Lake with brown trout. A wildflower meadow and woodland walks have now been established. The kitchen gardens provide most of the vegetables and herbs for the award winning restaurant. Organic meats, cheeses and vegetables are sourced locally through several suppliers. Supporters of the Slow Food movement. The Spa specialises in Ayurvedic treatments, using only organic petrochemical free ingredients sourced from pure plant and flower extracts.
