This serene and secret place fourteen miles from the centre of Belfast is situated in the middle of Northern Ireland. The house stands within its own 20 acres of farmland with a two acre organic garden and panoramic views over a wildfowl lake and meadows down to the Mountains of Mourne on the horizon. All breads are home baked and the food is guaranteed to be 75-80% organic at any one time. Ours is the only establishment in Northern Ireland to subscribe to the Soil Association's Catering Code of Practise. The field in front of the house supplies geothermal underfloor heating and solar panels provide hot water. Wildlife friendly copses and shrubberies are in the process of being planted in meadow margins.
