Home grown vegetables and fruit [using seaweed, etc] and organic dry goods
Located on the east side of the Kintyre Peninsula a few miles south of Skipness, Crossaig Lodge is set in 3 acres of mature gardens overlooking the Kilbrannan Sound and the Isle of Arran. This Georgian estate house has a vegetable plot where we grow as much of our own vegetables, salad and fruit as we can. We do not use chemicals, either in the garden or in the house. We have our own free range hens which are naturally fed. Our dry goods are organic, GM free, fairtrade and sourced from Green City in Glasgow. We use almost all local game, meat and seafood [Angus has a boat and some creels so we catch some ourselves]. We use organic cotton sheets and pillowcases and plan to put in a woodfuel sytem next year.
