Tir na Fiuise cottages are situated on our organic farm in a peaceful setting 2km from Terryglass village on the shore of Lough Derg in the heart of rural Tipperary. They are restored farm buildings, renovated in traditional style using natural materials and non toxic finishes. Relax in the gardens of this country retreat, take a walk into the adjacent bog or stroll along the farm walk. The 160 acre family farm now has 5th generation Heenans living here. 70 acres is devoted to organic agriculture, sheep, cereals and cattle, while the rest of the farm has some recently established woodlands and grain crops. The land is farmed under the Rural Environment Protection Scheme, which encourages environmentally friendly practices.
