We grow our own vegetables, fruit, and herbs and keep hens and pigs
Inis Meain is one of the Aran Islands strewn across Galway Bay, fifteen miles off the west coast of Ireland. For optimum relaxation we offer just three exclusive suites. A breakfast tray is delivered to the suite and guests are also able to enjoy artisan Irish food products and wines from the mini deli in their suite. Almost all the ingredients used in the award winning restaurant are sourced on and around the island through farming, foraging and fishing. The restaurant specialities are lobster and crab, caught by local fishermen from currachs, the traditional island fishing boats. Potatoes and vegetables are grown by most islanders in small fields sheltered by stone walls, and the only fertilizer used is seaweed from the shore.
