The house is a bespoke ecological farmhouse, hand crafted from green oak, with sweeping views to the North isles. It is situated within ten acres of farmland - we have a small flock of pedigree sheep, ducks, hens and horses. A kitchen garden project is now in progress with the recent erection of our own polytunnel. Enjoy breakfast with locally sourced quality ingredients. Free range eggs from our own collection of 'girls' in the paddock, sausages / haggis / black pudding from our local quality assured butcher, wholemeal seeded bread and Scottish kippers. All teas and coffees are fairtrade where possible and marmalade / preserves / chutneys are made on our local inner isles of Shapinsay. Cooking is with organic rapeseed oil.
