Our renovated farmhouse is located in the quaint town of Scottsville, a scenic twenty minute drive south of Charlottesville. We are on 13 acres of woodlands and organic gardens, and are also home to a one and a half acre Pinot Noir vineyard, managed by famed Virginia winemaker Gabriele Rausse. While not completely organic, Gabriele employs hands-on vineyard management and resorts to chemical means only as a last resort. All our perennial and vegetable gardens, eggs and breakfasts are organic. Local farms provide us with organic cheeses, meats and produce. Our wine lover's weekend includes a 4-5 hour winery tour for two, with a locavore picnic lunch, bottle of Virginia wine and local artisan cheese in your room.
