Our award winning restaurant, the Garden Cafe, is right next door [all local food]
The cottage is set in three acres of Lydbrook House estate just yards from the River Wye, with superb views from all the windows. The restaurant is in the converted Malt House extension on the estate. The food policy at the restaurant is to use only local produce. All the meats, fish, vegetables, dairy products, breads and puddings are from ingredients sourced in the south west. Wherever possible they are also organic. Almost all the vegetables we use are grown naturally in our own walled Georgian kitchen garden. We serve organic wines and locally made beers, cider and fruit juice. Visitors can also buy some of the fresh ingredients we use in the kitchen, such as organic vegetables, olives, olive oil and flour.
