Lower Porthamel is an idyllic organic farm between Hay on Wye and Brecon. Camp in the orchard at our working farm in the beautiful Wye Valley. The campsite has twenty pitches. Facilities include a loo block with hot showers, and a wash room. Children are welcome from any age, and we have a small children's play area. Walk our nature trail through the farm's fields, down the abandoned old mid Wales railway line and along the banks of the River Llynfi, which is home to otters, badgers and kingfishers. Relax in the evening with a campfire. Dogs are very welcome [with well trained owners]. There are some good walks from the site. Browse around the small market town of Talgarth. Good access to the Brecon Beacons.
