Iona Hostel is situated on our working croft at the north end of the Isle of Iona in the Inner Hebrides. It is simply and beautifully furnished, has five bedrooms [sleeping two to six in bunkbeds], and has a wonderful kitchen / sitting room with woodburning stove. The views are spectacular. Iona Hostel holds a Green Tourism Gold Award and is graded as 4 star by the Tourist Board. Lagandorain croft has been worked for countless generations. The fields are now grazed by our flock of black Hebridean sheep from which we produce beautiful blankets and, in season, mutton. The only fertiliser used on the hay parks is seaweed from the beach. We are members of Linking Environment and Farming and the Slow Food movement.
