Croan Cottages are set in the grounds of Croan House, an 18th century manor currently run as a small farm and adjoining almost 2000 acres of broadleaf woodland. Our walled garden and paddocks support a smallholding, with rare and friendly breeds of pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and goats providing fresh produce. We now produce most of the vegetables and fruit we need. Use is made of wild produce as well. We have recently begun offering our guests a range of meal options to enjoy in their cottages. The dishes include classics such as Irish stew, beef and Guinness pie and other popular favourites. For lunches and picnics we offer a range of quiches, frittata, pies, salads, sandwiches and sweet treats.
