This is a beautifully renovated stone smithy, refurbished to a luxuriously high standard. The accommodation is all on the ground floor. Outside there is an enclosed garden with a barbecue and garden furniture. Mawddwy is an unspoilt quiet valley in the superb scenery of the southern Snowdonia National Park. Nant-y-Nodyn's two self catering cottages, a quarter of a mile apart, are situated in this valley about two miles from the wool village of Dinas Mawddwy. We are not far from the highest pass in Wales, which leads to Lake Vyrnwy and Bala Lake. The cottages are part of an organic sheep and beef farm, which has been positively managed with conservation in mind, and guests are welcome to explore and enjoy the wildlife.
