Rio Muchacho Organic Farm is situated in the river valley of the same name on the mid coast of Ecuador just north of Bahía de Caráquez. The farm demonstrates a combination of organic agriculture, permaculture, local traditional moon planting, alternative energies, and the recycling of almost everything. The farm is visited by tourists, cultural exchange and Spanish language students, children (ecocamps), farmers, community groups, teachers, volunteers, and students studying ecotourism, agriculture and environment. Rio Muchacho Organic Farm also offers a one month practical and theoretical course, 'Introductory Apprenticeship in Organic Agriculture', see our website for information.
