Luxury quinta (5 star) situated on one of the hills surrounding the city of Funchal, close to its principal area of historical interest. This beautiful restored 18th century quinta is surrounded by 2.6 hectares of rare flowers and old trees. A tranquil lake nestles in the mature botanical gardens. All the guest rooms face south to the lush gardens, mountains and sea. Amongst the mango and banana trees is a large swimming pool with a bistro where we serve green organic salads, vegetarian snacks, and natural juices. We produce mangos, advocados, silver bananas, peppers, garlic, vegetables, aromatic herbs, lettuce and tomato. The land around the quinta is managed organically without any type of pesticides.
