25 hectare organic farm situated in the hills of Alto Alentejo in the beautiful Serra de São Mamede nature park. The farm consists of a pasture for the cows, olive orchards and cork trees. A small river runs through, drying out in late summer, but several springs provide fresh water for the people, the animals, gardens, fruit trees, a recreation basin and a tiny lake. A lot of solar collectors and a little windmill generate the energy. Guests are welcome to help with several works on the quinta. Megaliths and Celtic stone houses, medieval castles (Castelo de Vide and Marvão), and the Arabic heritage still dominate the landscape of olive trees, cork oaks, chestnuts, lakes, rivers and mountains.
