A beautiful sheltered corner of Dunnerdale amongst native oakwoods and flower rich meadows in a sweeping bend of the River Duddon. Adjoining the farmhouse the accommodation overlooks the garden, beck, rocky crags and the farmyard. The woodlands, garden and vegetable beds are all managed without using chemicals. Visitors are free to roam over 450 acres of farm woodland and pastures. Free range eggs, Hebridean lamb, Galloway beef and naturally grown fruit and vegetables may be available to buy. Home produced charcoal is often available. The camping barn is situated in the farmyard, but is safely enclosed. The Newfield Inn, a delightful fifteen minute walk through the woods, serves real ales and food all day.
