Stay with a traditional Brahmin family (two guest rooms). Homemade vegetarian cuisine (no eggs, no fish, no meat). Most of the vegetables and fruits are grown in the village itself, and the farmers use little or no inorganic items in the fields. Learn cooking from the hosts - idly, dosha, puttu, ada, upma (breakfast items) - poori, chapathi and rice with various side dishes (meals / dinner). Eco-tourist income goes towards the preservation of our Heritage Home, conservation of similar traditional / heritage properties by popularising the concept, providing local employment, educating in the area of ecology related aspects. The typical village is by a river, and the environment is very nice.
