Historic traditional sugar plantation home surrounded by tropical gardens. Located minutes from Waipio Valley - the Hawaiian Valley of the Kings. The Wayside Inn is situated along the spectacular Hamakua coast line of the Big Island of Hawaii, and is comfortably positioned about half way between Kona and Hilo, just one hour from Volcanoes National Park. We offer five rooms all with private bathrooms along with a gourmet breakfast. Waipio Wayside is renowned for its breakfasts - we serve only organic coffee and food cooked with organic ingredients, fresh premier local sunrise papayas, and white pineapple (in season). The menu changes daily, so every morning is a special treat.
