West Holmhead is an old stone cottage on the edge of our organic [biodynamic] farm in deepest Galloway. The cottage has beamed ceilings and a big birchwood garden, and looks out through trees onto green fields and hills. Sometimes we can provide fresh organic eggs, apples, or meat - please ask. You'll find an excellent organic farm shop within thirty minutes drive [Beeswing]. We have a mixture of sheep and cattle [White Galloways], orchid meadows, bluebell woods, splashy burns, heather moor, and abundant wildlife. From the front door you can walk or cycle [there's a pair of traditional bikes for your use] along the quiet 'hidden road' to Balmaclellan, through dark forests and over the green hills.
