Blacklake Organic Farm is situated on the upper slopes of East Hill. The Hay House has been converted using the original structure and natural materials such as lime plaster and natural oak. Being the only holiday house on the farm it offers peace and privacy, with only the ebb and flow of traditional farm life to punctuate the day. The farmland is varied, a mix of permanent old pasture, deciduous woodland and old apple orchards. We are an organic demonstration farm and welcome opportunities to talk to people about our organic farming experience. We think farming is about working with nature not against it. A large part of our time is spent on conservation work, which is hugely rewarding and beneficial to the farm itself.
