Low Stanger is situated within the small settlement of Stanger, two miles south of Cockermouth in the beautiful Lorton Valley. The cottage is a spacious two bedroom barn conversion adjoining the farmhouse on our small lakeland farm and organic market garden. The living accommodation is on the first floor to take advantage of the view across open fields. There are footpaths and a bridleway running from the farmyard. Visitors can also explore the farm itself including a long stretch of the river Cocker [fishing available]. You can buy organic fruit and vegetables from the farm in season and usually eggs as well. Hot water is supplied by an advanced solar water heating system, with electrical back up for cloudy days.
