Burnlaw Community House is on a 50 acre organic smallholding in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The converted 18th century barn is part of a complex of stone farm buildings, which is home to six households - most of whom are members of the Baha’i faith. On the edge of the West Allen Valley, it is one of the most unspoiled and beautiful corners of Britain. Part of the North Pennines, it has hilly uplands, steep wooded valleys and fast flowing limestone streams. The farm has a small herd of suckler cows, horses, poultry, orchard, organic vegetable garden, and woodland. Guests are welcome to wander round the farm, use the games field, and also use the nationally recognised disc golf course.
