Paradise Lodge in the village of Nikaelovo Sliven in Southern Bulgaria is a detached lodge with gardens of nearly half an acre. The lodge is spacious and comfortable and can sleep up to 8 people. A traditionally decorated lounge with wood burning stove and radiators throughout, large kitchen, bathroom with corner bath, hydro massaging shower in the upstairs shower room. The lodge has two spacious double rooms, a spacious twin room and sleeping for an extra 2 guests on the bed settes in the lounge area. The larger double comes with its own terrace with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Just next door is a forest and in the village a lake. The lodge provides clean bed linen, towels and bathrobes.
The gardens contain a vineyard and fruit trees and organic freshly grown produce to be used for your own cooking. Surrounded by the Blue Mountains, Sliven is nestled at the foot of a mountain range and is a beautiful town just 10 minutes drive away from the village. Sliven boasts a nature park in the mountains accessable by a chair lift from the town and also by road. This beautiful park is a paradise for bird watchers, walkers and also has a lake for fishing. In the winter months there is a connection to the ski huts for skiers, snow boarders, snow shoe walking and winter sports.
Sliven is renouned for its clean mountain air and fresh breezes and the area is perfect for ramblers, walkers, mountain climbing, paragliding and a golf course can be found just 10 minutes drive away.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is fully fitted with a fridge/freezer, micowave, seating for dining and a seperate utility area with washing machine.
The large window has views to the garden and courtyard and outside seating is available in the courtyard area. The garden has many fruit trees including cherry,apple, peach and orange. There are also fresh strawberries and grapes from the small vineyard. herbs,spices and vegetables are available fresh from the garden.

The Downstairs Bathroom

The tastefully decorated bathroom with corner bath, shower and heated towel rail is found on the lower floor of the lodge.
Supplied with clean towels and bath robes.
The upper floor has a spacious shower room with hydromassaging shower unit.
The shower room is also supplied with towels and bath robes.

The view

A large terrace area is available from master double room on the upstairs floor. With spectacular views to the countryside, the forest and to the garden. This is a perfect area to relax or for alfresco dining.
The views are spectacular and the air is clean and fresh. With a view of the Blue Mountains its a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset.

Surrounding areas.

The beautiful town of Sliven is situated in South Eastern Bulgaria at the foothills of the Sliven Balkan mountain range. North of the town the nature park "Sinite Kamuni or Blue Rocks is situated and is a paradise for nature lovers,bird watchers,climbers and is also linked to the ski huts for winter sports and skiing. The nature park is accessible by chair lift from the town or is accessible by car.
The nature park boasts a great variety of birds including the Egyptian Vulture and has a lake for picnics and fishing.
The region is rich in rock and cave formations, beautiful waterfalls and is set with different tourist routes for walkers..


Paradise Lodge Sliven  Bulgaria #06One of the many walks in the area of the Blue mountains will bring you to Hissarluka Hill ruins of an old stronghold dating back to the fourth century.
Today visitors can see parts of the old fortress walls, corner towers and a gateway. The fragments of mosiac and coins are kept in the Museum of History in Sliven.
One of the most popular caves is the Zmeiovi or Dragons cave about 5 km from the town. There is an underwater river in the cave approxiamtely 150 metres in length. There are many waterfalls in the area, The Dragons Cave, The Camel Step and Sunny Meadow to name a few.


Paradise Lodge Sliven  Bulgaria #07The town of Sliven is a beautiful town surounded by mountains with a fresh healthy mountain breeze. There are many bars and restaurants and a real attraction is the Cave Restaurant. There is also a rock and roll club playing retro, funk and reagee music.
Traditional markets and shops and museums. The Sliven Museum of History, Museum of Revival Arts, the Hadzhi Dimitur House Museum, the Drama Theatre and the Puppet Theatre are just a few of the many things to see.
A most attractive spot to visit is the old century elm tree Stariya Bryast.
Sliven has a railway and a bus station and is on the main Sofia to Bourgas highway. In September a local rally race is held here in the mountains and many folklore festivals are celebrated in traditional costume.
Just a few kms away are the Sliven Mineral Baths where a health giving spa bath and massage can be had. This is said to be good for ailments of the skin, liver,heart, joints and muscles.
